Thanksgiving is this week, which means the holidays have officially arrived and many of us will be working remotely as we travel to spend time with friends and family. If you’re planning on being away from your usual work space during the holiday season, you understand how awesome it is to be able to use business tools that don’t limit productivity or communication with your team when you’re not together.
Google Apps, Asana, Evernote, and of course, UberConference and Switch.co are some of the products that allow our work to be flexible -- keeping our team connected and making us feel productive even when we’re away from the office during the holidays.
As our homes start to fill with friends, family, and delicious foods in the next few days, we’ll be thinking about the things we’re most thankful for. At Switch.co, we are grateful for so much-- starting with each other. In her interview for the blog a few weeks ago, software engineer Gemma Schrum said,
We can all pretty much say we feel the same way. Launching a product comes with non-stop, countless hours of work, and our team has stuck together with tireless dedication to turn our big ideas into a reality.
An extra special thank you goes to our office manager, Lydia. Lydia provides constant support at all hours of the day, keeping us organized and on top of things, and reminding us to take a break every once in a while to have some fun. She works hard to make Switch Communications a great place to work, from team socials, to warm new hire welcomes, to weekly office traditions. She helps make us feel less like co-workers and more like family, and we love her for it.
Lastly, we’re thankful for our our beta customers. You’ve been so incredibly helpful in sharing your stories and giving us invaluable Switch.co feedback. Thank you for your enthusiasm and your loyalty. You keep us eager and inspired, and it’s great to have you be a part of our adventure.
With that, we wish you a Thanksgiving full of happiness and bellies full of pie.
-The Switch.co Team
P.S. As much as we like the idea of always being connected, there is a time and a place for everything. Don’t forget, you can put your Switch.co phone number on do not disturb during Thanksgiving dinner!
