Update: as of January 14, 2015 Switch launched out of beta to the public. Porting is also live, Obihai desk phones are available, and the iOS app is in the App Store.
Since Switch.co launched on Wednesday, we’ve enjoyed hearing from everyone on our social media channels. Our team has been listening to the questions coming in so far, and we’ve seen a few come up more than once.
Here’s a rundown of the top questions from this week, with answers. Hopefully it will clear things up!
Q: How much does Switch.co cost?
A: Switch.co costs $15 per person per month. You’ll get unlimited domestic (US and Canada) calls and texts. One phone number for your company line is also included. If your team needs additional company lines, department lines, or toll-free numbers, you can add them for $5 per month. Toll-free requires per minute rates as well. Q: I’ve added myself to the beta list, how long until I’m let in?
A: We couldn’t be happier about the excitement around Switch.co in just the first week of launch. We’re releasing in limited beta so we can ensure the best possible experience for our customers when we release Switch.co publicly. For now, we’re letting more and more companies in each day. We promise it will be worth the wait! If you're not on the list already, you can join here.
Q: Does Switch.co work internationally?
A: Switch.co is currently only available in the US. However, US customers can definitely make international calls. We look forward to offering Switch.co in additional countries in the future.
Q:Can I port my existing phone numbers?
A: Porting will be live in the next couple of weeks.
Q:For those of us who might still want to use our desk phones, will Switch.co work with them?
A: We’ll be launching an IP phone in the coming weeks for those who still want to keep their desk phones.
Q: When will your iOS app be available?
A: It’s currently in review in the App Store. We’ll have it ready for you soon.
